The first days of the NCAA summer recruiting period will tip off in Las Vegas with the 2009 JYD CLASSIC, poised to become one of the nation's premier summer hoops events for youth.

This July 6-10, 2009, many of the nation's best travel basketball teams will compete for the tournament crown in the fast-paced, fun-filled atmosphere of Las Vegas, NV. Hosted by former NBA player and Global Community Ambassador Jerome "JYD" Williams, the 2009 JYD Classic is an NCAA certified, five-day tournament with a four-game guarantee for each participant.

The 2009 JYD CLASSIC is unlike any other tournament in the country. While the tournament promotes high level competition on the court and provides excellent viewing opportunities for college coaches, it also supports the local community through charitable efforts. Proceeds from the tournament will directly support the JYD PROJECT, a community improvement and outreach initiative designed to connect individuals, corporations, and organizations with projects and activities that improve community relationships and infrastructure through collaborative teamwork efforts.

Tournament Fast Facts:

• $500.00 Registration Fee for all teams in Divisions 17U, 16U, 15U
• $350.00 Registration Fee for all teams in Divisions 14U, 13U, 12U
• All travel teams must attend mandatory team registration and NCAA presentation for all players and staff coaches.
• Mandatory Coaches Check-In Before First Game and mandatory player NCAA Educational Session
• Initially, teams will be divided into 16 pools comprised of four teams. Following pool play, teams will be placed into a single elimination bracket based on their rankings from pool play.
• Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be accepted 21 days prior to the event.
